Where do I start? I could tell you about all my qualifications and experience, but I’d rather tell you about the real me because that’s what matters. From a young age I felt that I was meant to do something very special. I do not know where this sense came from, but it was always present. Over the years I moved from job to job and country to country; always excelling but never feeling completely content – I wanted more; something I could really lose myself in.
I returned to Ireland in 2008 at the height of the recession. Things were bleak but there was also a sense of opportunity and possibility; what could I do? The world was my oyster. I compiled a list of possible future careers that I could embark on. Accountancy and law were on my list weaved between massage and reflexology. I always had an interest in crystals, aromatherapy oils and chakras but was there a course that could give me the qualifications to practice these skills?
Thankfully, the answer was yes, I qualified in 2011 and never looked back.
Becoming self-employed was one of the best decisions of my life but whilst I loved being my own boss it also came with a lot of responsibilities. If you work for yourself then you can appreciate the stress that comes with keeping on top of your business finances. No one teaches us these skills; we are simply expected to know what to do. After struggling for years, I decided to study bookkeeping and payroll. Now I am in the position to support you with your finances so you can get on with doing what you love with minimum stress.
Like everyone else I sometimes get caught up in work and do not take enough time to be still and enjoy the moment. Nature is my personal therapist; I am an avid gardener and birdwatcher; I also enjoy running, sea swimming and walking with my dog Bran. I am a serious foodie, I find cooking and baking extremely relaxing and savour experimenting with different ingredients from around the world. I am living my best life and loving every minute of it.
